The Bikery Shop and Workshop

The Bikery is a community bike shop offering sales, servicing, repairs, accessories, parts and training. Whether you’re looking for an affordable refurbished bike, replacement parts, or expert advice, our team is here to help riders of all ages and abilities enjoy cycling with confidence.

Our fully equipped workshop provides professional servicing and repairs for all types of bikes. All of our mechanics are time served and trained to at least Silver Velotech qualification.

As an accredited Bosch, Shimano and RockShox service centre, we also offer specialist servicing and diagnostics for modern bikes and e-bikes, helping keep your bike safe, reliable and ready to ride.

Affordable
Pre-Loved Sales

Affordable refurbished bikes for all ages, professionally serviced and ready to ride with confidence. 

At the heart of The Bikery is the repair and upcycling of donated bikes, which are sold at affordable prices to remove cost barriers to cycling. Every bike is fully serviced and checked before sale, ensuring it is safe and ready to ride.

We stock bikes of all shapes and sizes, depending on availability, and encourage visitors to call in and see what is currently in store. As our stock is entirely donation-based, we’re unable to take personalised bike requests.

Children’s bikes start from £35, with adult bikes starting from £100. All refurbished bikes come with a three-month warranty, giving peace of mind as you cycle away on your new bike.

Servicing and Repairs

Professional bike servicing and repairs for all cycle types, delivered by Velotech qualified, experienced mechanics. 

We offer servicing and repairs for all types of cycles, carried out by our experienced and qualified mechanics. There’s no booking system, simply bring your bike to the shop and it will be placed in the repair queue.

We’ll usually provide an estimated timeframe once your bike has been assessed. The Bikery is an accredited Bosch and Shimano e-bike service centre, as well as a RockShox service centre, ensuring specialist care for modern bikes.

Environmental Sustainability

Responsible recycling and reuse practices reduce waste, emissions and extend the life of bikes. 

Environmental responsibility is central to how The Bikery operates. We work hard to ensure all parts from salvaged bikes are recycled or reused responsibly, with volunteers playing a vital role in this process.

Tyres are recycled through Velorim, while metal components are separated into steel and aluminium and recycled via PandaRosa. Wherever possible, reusable parts are retained and made available for customer repairs, helping reduce costs and waste.

Fleet
Servicing

Reliable fleet servicing for community bike projects, ensuring safety, performance and long-term reliability standards. 

We support community and organisational bike projects by providing annual servicing for fleet bikes, helping ensure they remain safe and roadworthy throughout the year.

The Bikery is an authorised Bosch and Shimano service centre, allowing us to professionally maintain and support e-bike fleets used in community hire schemes and transport initiatives.
